Enjoy a poem inspired by EPIC: the Musical (and my very heavy heartache :']). Just saying, it's a teeny bit repetitive- In shadows cast by moonlit seas, I ponder where our fate will lead. Will I be Calypso, lost in dreams, Or Penelope, your heart's true need? Celeste, a star that shines so bright, Her presence stirs a jealous plight. Though kind and fair, she steals the light, From moments that were ours by right. Will I be Calypso forever, Or shall I be your Penelope? Or shall Celeste be your end game, What shall our fates be? Through trials and storms, I'll stand by you, In sorrow's depths or skies of blue. I understand the goddess's pain, Her heartache, bound by love's cruel chain. In whispers of the night, I sigh, As time and tide both pass us by. Will I be the one you seek, Or just a memory, faint and weak? In every breath, I feel the strain, Of love's uncertain, endless reign. Yet through it all, I'll bear the pain, And stand by you, through joy and bane. In dreams, I see a future bright, Where love and hope both take their flight. Yet shadows linger in the night, As I await your heart's true sight. Through every trial, I'll stand by you, In sorrow's depths or skies of blue. I understand the goddess's pain, Her heartache, bound by love's cruel chain. In love's uncertain, endless reign, I'll bear the joy, I'll bear the pain. And through it all, I'll stand by you, In sorrow's depths or skies of blue.
