i introduce to you for the very first time my ocs the cosmic guzzos! they first materialized about a year ago. they don't have names and might never get them, but basically they're gay and in love :DDD species-wise they're like alien goblin witches?? as in they're not from earth and they practice witchcraft. they met once on the astral plane but haven't been able to find each other since. they're completely alone otherwise. space/click/arrows for extra sketches. i put stars next to particularly good examples. full disclosure: if you're drawing them, you barely have to follow this ref. these are just the default designs. i want them to have a princess bubblegum and marceline thing going on where their hair and outfit changes all the time but they keep their general style. you're actually encouraged to come up with new outfits and hairstyles for them. the only things that have to be kept consistent are their bodies, faces, hair color + texture, their respective aesthetics, and color schemes. also make sure to give them some form of bangs that cover their crystals (but you can draw wind or smth blowing the bangs out of their faces and revealing the crystals). if you don't feel like coming up with a whole new outfit (valid), see notes and credits for the defaults + character info + notes for how i create alt outfits:
The Dark one (left): - she/her - she's a mushroom forager who lives alone in a hole under a tree - she wears a tiny black collared dress, a classic witch hat (or the mushroom hat), and white ruffle socks with black mary janes with a bit of a heel. - the placement of her ear piercings is provided, but give her as many as you like - her hair is straight, black, and quite shiny. note the vampire bangs. i also imagine she has an undercut - the bluish color i use for some outlines and under her hat are just for contrast, it's all just black so just color how you normally would. - her environment is an eerie dark forest. It should be pretty realistic but have a sort of enchanted, mystical air about it - for other outfits, you can either go casual goth/alt or perhaps slightly whimsigoth, OR more traditionally witchy. black would usually be the main color of her outfit. she dresses quite fem and is a fan of little dresses. i would recommend black and silver jewelry generally. her hair can be any length and up or down. she would also experiment with shaving parts of it (i give her a lot of punk and goth hairstyles) The Light one (right): - she/her - she's a music-loving bohemian who sort of just wanders the planet on her own but has a cave to use as home base. the cave has stalactites, stalagmites, crystals, the works. - she wears an orange bandeau top, harem pants (look up photos for further reference), a patched-up witch hat, and a fanny pack. - you can really go wild with the accessories. she puts beads and crystals all over her body. necklaces, bracelets, earrings, anklets, waist beads, body piercings, and rings are all fair game. as for metals, she would probably wear gold or an oxidized brass - her hair is bleach blonde and fluffy with loose waves and messy bangs. the braid in the back of her hair is quite a bit longer than the rest of her hair, but the top of the braid is covered by it. she has little side bits that are shorter. - her environment is a very surreal planet with large trippy mushrooms as common as trees. very sunny, colorful, and psychedelic. - for other outfits, use a similar color scheme with a boho/hippie style, something you would wear while meditating in a forest or frolicking in a meadow, but not quite straight out of the 60s. patchwork, ponchos, maxi skirts, bell sleeve tops, kimono jackets, and baggy pants are good. her style ranges from androgynous to feminine. her hair can be any length but should feel relaxed and loose rather than neat. i like to give her little boho braids and hair wraps the crystals: - the crystals on their foreheads and staffs are the same. it's basically quartz (vitreous luster and a hexagonal natural structure). it's basically white but should be sort of opalescent, so i used pink, yellow, and blue on some of the faces. - it's hard to see with this horrendous quality, but their forehead crystals are in the same rhombus shape as the one in the staff on the left. - the crystals glow when they use magic. - sometimes their crystals show images of each other, but not in real-time so they can't communicate through them. it's very frustrating. - their staffs are carved out of wood. it's also hard to see. i added a bluish hue to the left staff and a warmer one to the right for vibes, but it's just wood. usually i draw them in solid black for simplicity. i still have to work out the details of their personalities, but this should do for now. if you couldn't tell, the theme here is mushrooms and crystals :) i feel like with the amount of dmces i do, i haven't been letting you into my artistic world, so im sharing something that is completely my own. hopefully one day i'll tell their full story. art and designs by me
