So a couple of days ago, my group in my theater class was tasked with creating a parody of a story. We got Ariel. It just had to follow the same story line, and we had to act it out. You would think this wouldn't end up too weird, right? No. Mermaids were flesh eating monsters. King Triton ate breakfast while watching the damned prisoners be executed. Many mermaids made it their mission to k1ll as many humans as possible. Ariel was pretty much trapped under her father's reign, where he forced her to follow in his footsteps and marry a dangerous man. Ursula actually gave her a chance to escape and be with the man she wanted to be with. Triton found out shortly after the end of the third day. He commanded her to come back, and Ursula took the advantage of his distraction to fight him and try and take over the sea to end his reign of terror. She failed. Ariel fled and had to stay far away from the sea for the rest of her life, fearing d3ath. Yeah. My class is great.
