[PLEASE READ] Draw one continuous line so it goes through every door once, and only once. You can start anywhere on the screen. It might take quite a lot of tries, but the fun is in keeping on and not giving up. It's challenging, but don't worry: there is a solution. If it gets too frustrating, though, you can find an explanation of the solution in the Notes and Credits. Clarifying Rules: This should be implied, but you aren't allowed to go through the maze's walls "Going through" a door means that you end up on the other side of the wall. Just barely going into it, just enough to trigger the door to close while staying on the same side, doesn't count. You don't necessarily need to keep the pen down the whole time. You can pick up the pen to go and draw backwards from where you started, as long as the line is continuous, without any branches or breaks.
This is an extremely simple project I threw together on a whim. I was playing around with the idea of this puzzle, and I got sick of redrawing it over and over on paper, so I decided to make it digitally. The doors "close" when you touch them, but it doesn't always detect when you pass through them quickly, so it might help to go a bit slower. [SOLUTION] If it wasn't obvious after a few tries (or from the title), this puzzle is not possible to complete without bending or breaking the rules in some way. A "Monkey Trap" is a method used to trap monkeys with their own free will. A large nut (or banana, or any object that a monkey might find desirable) is placed in a cage or a jar with a small opening. Monkeys are able to reach inside and grab the nut, but when they try to take it out, they find that their hand is a little too big to pull out while holding the nut. The nut in the jar seems at first like an easy treat, and the feeling of 'almost' getting the nut out gives them a false idea that they're close to getting it, and that they need to keep on trying. The monkey won't let go of the nut, and therefore, the monkey is trapped. Most of the time, when we're confronted with big challenges, we are told to keep on trying and not to give up. But there's a difference between challenges that SEEM impossible and challenges that ARE impossible. A few challenges in this life are deliberately crafted for us to fail over and over. So what lesson is there to be learned from this? Don't be afraid of challenges. This isn't an excuse to shy away from everything that seems difficult. But the moment you realize that your hand is in a monkey trap, let go. The smartest monkeys walk away empty-handed.
