enough ppl are doing this that i thought it might be nice to share my thoughts on my lil guys 1: kieran, he's such a little guy, he's so relatable, and one of the best characters to ever come out of pokemon. i feel for his sufferings. just about every rival has some sort of mental breakdown over continuously losing to you, but kiki's one of the only ones to ever take that ball and run with it, and they did it so well, too. 2: n, he's really well written and is def the best villain up to that point. i see him described as a sympathetic antagonist a lot, NO. he's a villain who believes wholeheartedly what he is doing is right, he is a villain that acts like a hero, could even BE a hero, and that is incredible. 3: clemont, relatable adorable lil nerd man honorable mentions: marnie and penny, great rivals, elesa, the rare gym leader who goes through a character arc *gahsp* i also lowkey hated fighting her her emolgas are [i can't say that here]
