WARNING: CONTAINS MINOR SPOILERS FOR THE STARLIGHT ODYSSEY!! Even if they are minor spoilers, I still recommend playing through the entire game, preferably three times, before viewing this project! (On the other talon, if you have no intention of playing this game, why are you even here in the first place...?) Anyway, go into fullscreen, SPAM the green flag like your life depends on it just in case your device wouldn't run it properly, and don't say I didn't warn ya with the spoilers. And once you've watched it once, watch it five more times just in case it runs better sixth time around. I saw the project by @Dogs_andCatsRule, and I REALLY wanted an animation for it. And when you want something but can't get it, take matters into your own talons. Also please note there are A LOT OF SPOILERS in the notes and credits sections!!! Continue reading at your own risk!!
Characters and original game(The Starlight Odyssey) by @Wildflight Music - Pokemon the Series: Sun & Moon: Ultra Adventures opening theme, taken from @Dogs_andCatsRule's project(TSO fanart). Idea - @Dogs_andCatsRule, specifically their fanart project of a TSO and Pokemon Sun & Moon crossover. This project is in fact a remix of that project, if you couldn't tell already. Code - me Art - me, though I heavily referenced the stills and character portraits and the battle sprite for Astra. Annoyingly the right portraits seems to be the left ones flipped horizontally and I only realised so AFTER finishing Roseblight's animation, so I got SO ANNOYED I had to redo the face patch, like, SERIOUSLY?!!! PLEASE KEEP THE ARTWORK MORE CONSISTENT SEVEN MOONS AND SKYFIRE!!! Just in case you couldn't tell who is who, I have listed all characters per scene, in order of appearance, from left to right, but I'm SURE I'm obvious enough and the characters are PERFECTLY recognisable, so I'm just wasting my time at this point: -Cranestar -Smokestar -Brightstar -Bearstar -Cranestar again, Silverpaw, Sunpaw -Silverpaw and Sunpaw for the second time -Stormpaw, Windpaw -Rosepaw, Wildpaw -Hollowpaw -Rosepaw, Sunpaw, Hollowpaw, Cloudflower, Stormhail, Silverpaw(sorry that you can barely see him at all) -Wildwind and Windripple (And to this day, in my friend's playthrough, Windripple is still Windpaw and contemplating who to bring to the warriors assessment) -Wildwind, Silvermoon, Sunspirit, Windripple, Stormhail, Roseblight, Hollowsong -Storkfoot -Cranestar yet again, BIG SURPRISE!! -Gingseng, Astra(I love those two despite them being the most side of the side characters, and also Pokemon Radiant Sun and Moon would be pretty funny, and hmm, I wonder where I could've heard the following concepts all in one game before: an all female group of bandits who play by their own rules, Clans that argue with each other, and a leader that exiles you for pretty much nothing? I wonder where indeed...hrmmmm...) -Mist on the Horizon/Horizon (Could you just imagine a crossover named Pokemon Horizon? This is also my first attempt at lipsyncing, so sorry if the animation and timing are a little off) -The moon...? Or rather if you're looking at the cat in the moon, then that's the player character. (They also appear in the thumbnail of this project) The fact that I don't like some of the more important and more plot-relevant characters (SHADOWPOOL) so much that they're not featured in this project at all (but just because I don't like them doesn't mean they're bad characters, okay? Although I kind of wish that the earlier storyline was kept so it'd make more sense that Shadowpool ran away. I remember getting really mad at her for doing so until eventually I realised that her one of her kits was originally going to P3R1$H) Wow, you made it all the way down here without dying of sheer boredom??? Alright, I'll tell you some fun facts about Kiteswoop, Moonsliver, and Cranestar. According to Kiteswoop in the Golden Moon Gathering chapter, he said 'That would be a good way to ruin my friendhsip', and yes those were his exact words down to the very last letter in the exact order. Also mildly questioning whether or not CrestClan makes kites, but it's probably just a bird. Also in the Snow Moon chapter, if you're playing the CrestClan route, when Silvermoon wakes the player up they say "We've been training so ahrd altely..." And lastly one last hilarious thing about Cranestar. If you wish to know, go play the neutral route(the one where you have 7 allies instead of the usual 6), speak to Cranestar during the final chapter and look carefully at the dialogue that follows. Specifically the mention about KITESWOOP. Cranestar really thought he could travel between alternative timelines and get away with it, huh? Either way the neutral ending was still my favourite. The fact that it neatly answers a lot of the questions regarding the player's origin, and the absolutely SHOCKING plot twist pretty much hit me harder than I've ever hit Moolbsutol in my warrior assessment(around 300 hp or so, poor Moolbsutol got thrown all the way from Tibet to the Arctic from the sheer force of that, but I could EASILY deal 4000 more if I really wanted to...). I really thought the Firebringer was going to burn everyone down LITERALLY for a second, like, I'm sure the Firebringer wouldn't mind eating a Smoked Crane for dinner... Anyway, I'm suprised you actually had the patience and time to read all that. Thanks for taking your time viewing my project, reading the entire notes and credits section, and putting up with my horrendous jokes, unnecessary complaints and ceaseless waffling. Lastly, I'd like to say... May you ever walk the path of starlight. Now leave me alone and go annoy whoever else you wish.
