Hi! Here’s my personal go at a GWDFI Essay. I don’t really want to repeat what others have said, so I’m gonna be focusing on trolls specifically. This also isn’t a rant. =WHAT IS A TROLL?= This project for Gaehive ( https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1159211631 ) is quite useful for defining trolls, even on GWDFI but a key thing to note is that just about anyone can engage in trolling behaviour, even if they’re not a New Scratcher, and they should be treated as a troll until they can learn to not deliberately ragebait, offend, etc. =WHY IS TROLL FEEDING SUCH A PROBLEM?= Troll-feeding is a rampant issue in the studio, involving GWDFI engaging with troll-ish behaviours. Spammers included. Troll-feeding is such a problem because it gives trolls motivation to continue disrupting the studio. Troll-feeding also breaks the community guidelines since Scratch Team always encourages people to report instead of interact. =BAD REP?= If the studio gains even more bad rep in the near future, it might be because of troll-feeding. There’s a chance that us troll-feeding so much has made us well known in troll circles as an easy target, which is likely just going to escalate things further. =HOW TO SOLVE?= An easy way to end this is to just listen to managers as well as ignore and report. Alternatively, if there is a troll on, and you’re getting stressed because of it, you can also just temporarily leave the studio and do something else, since it’s unlikely the entire studio will be taken down because of it.
