He's the reason it takes so long for Odysseus to return home, and kills almost all members of Odysseus's crew, both directly and indirectly. He commands Odysseus's actions, and at one point is summoned to punish Odysseus. He kills the remaining crew members and banishes Odysseus to Ogygia for several years. He believes Odysseus should be kept on Ogygia for his cowardice and failure at direct confrontation, but is convinced after Athena promises more bloodshed. She is unconvinced why Odysseus is special enough to be released, but is convinced after being informed Odysseus has never cheated on his wife. Person casted as Hera is likely to get another role.
