Two projects in a week! Here's some art (and other projects) from the past few months, I really have been slacking lately, lol. I've been a lot busier with work and life lately, and because of that I haven't drawn much lately. I'd like to improve that (set times to draw instead of frittering away time, etc.). I also am planning on participating in Art Fight this year, so I'll probably be redrawing a lot of references. If any of y'all are participating and would like to be attacked/attack, let me know, I'd be happy to check out your profile! (I'll make a separate Art Fight project with my info soon) Btw, my SVG converter isn't working today, so I apologize in advance for any crummy-quality photos :) Anyways, onto the art/photos: 1. Some background practice, the colors aren't great, but it was a fun exercise. 2. A *very* crunchy drawing of Sarge. Super proud of how this turned out. 3. Jackie, was using some different colors here 4. Comic ft. Nick and Antoine. This is basically their dynamic, unfortunately. 5. Some more bg practice featuring a random lady. I spent a long time on her hair, really proud of figuring out a new technique! 6. More bg practice, I referenced this one. 7. Art to commemorate my graduation! (I didn't end up doing anything for it, so no cap/gown actually) 8. Another Jackie. I really like the colors/rendering in this one, but her face and anatomy are so off. 9. Nick *looks at you with huge green eyes* 10. A blue gal, I was trying to practice some shading (something that I generally try to avoid out of laziness) 11. Nick again! I really like the colors in this one. 12. Guy with a fish. Again, I love the colors used and am still trying to figure out how to do this again. 13. Older painted lady. Really like how this one turned out, although her dress probably makes her look like she's wearing a Big Bird costume. 14. Redhead headshot. More experimenting with rendering, really like how it turned out. 15. Nick and Jackie! (I've severely neglected the rest of the crew, I need to draw the other guys soon) 16. A blonde lady, really like how she turned out. 17. A sticky note portrait using acrylic markers and paint pens. I don't have a huge color selection, so that's why it looks a little off. 18-19. Practicing some graphic design, 19 is satire. 20-24. My most recent project! Meet Lars, a Dorper bottle ram. He is very sweet, dumb, and has a big appetite. 25-26. Strawberry jam I made and canned recently using some soon-to-go-bad frozen strawberries. Very yummy. 27. Went antiquing recently and purchased this baker's rack and restored it, here's the before... 28. Sanding the drawers, top board is sanded, bottom unsanded. Side tangent: orbital sanders are a lot of fun to use 29. Drawers have now been sanded. 30. Fully sanded drawer face (excuse the mess in the background) 31-32. Stained the main part of it, and painted the insides and sides of the drawers green. (after this I gave it 3 coats of a waterproof sealer) 33. The main rack, which I spraypainted black. The wooden shelf was originally a piece of fence siding (I think. The original metal shelf must have gone missing a while ago.) The wood I was using for it split in some parts and I had to glue and clamp it. 34. The finished rack (we're currently using it as a garden shelf)! It was a fun learning experience, and I'm proud to have such a "big" project finished! 35. (don't know if most of the terms in this meme are allowed on Scratch, but...) A homemade meme. This stock photo's caption was wild lol
