PRESS GREEN FLAG TWICE!! --If you are unable to place a card when you should be able to, just wait a little bit; the game should correct itself after some time.-- Egyptian Rat Screw is a simple card game in which 2 (or more) players equally divide a standard deck of Poker cards amongst each other (press SPACE to deal cards at the start). Player 1 goes first, placing a card, and both players take turns placing random Poker cards until one of the following happens: 1. If a player places a Face (K,Q,J) or Ace (A) card, the other player has three chances to also place a Face or Ace card. If they fail within three turns, after 1 second, a "No Show" is declared and the standing deck is awarded to the player who originally placed the Face or Ace card. If the other player manages to play a Face or Ace card, the challenge is reversed onto the first player. This cycle continues until a No Show is awarded OR: 2. A pattern is spotted. Upon spotting a pattern, either player may "slap" the deck to claim the entire deck of cards. Player 1 presses "Q" to slap, Player 2 presses "M" to slap. Slapping the deck when there is a pattern awards the entire deck to the person who slapped, who places the cards at the bottom of their hand. Patterns include: - Straight: 4 cards placed in a row with adjacent values (ex: 4, 5, 6, 7 or A, K, Q, J). Cards do not have to be in order. A, 2, 3, 4 is not a straight under these rules. - Flush: 4 cards placed in a row with the same suit (Hearts, Clubs, Diamonds, or Spades) - Sandwich: 3 cards placed in a row wherein the first card and third card have the same value, "sandwiching" a differently valued card in between (ex: 3, Q, 3 or J, K, J) - Wrap: When the value of the first card placed in the entire deck matches the value of the card on top of the deck; does not depend on deck length, so long as the above condition is met. - Tens: 2 cards placed in a row whose values add to 10 (ex: 3 and 7, 8 and 2, A and 9) - Pair: 2 cards placed in a row who share the same value - Marriage: 2 cards placed in a row where one is a King and one is a Queen - Master of One: 2 cards placed in a row where one is a Jack and one is an Ace - Nine-Tailed: When the sum of the values of the first card and last card played in the deck is 9; does not depend on deck length Slapping when there is NOT a pattern results in a mis-slap; the offender places their top two cards at the bottom of the deck. A slap may be made at ANY time so long as there is at least 1 card in the standing deck; it can be made during normal play or when a face card has been played. It is especially crucial during the 1 second window before a "No Show" is declared; even if a player fails to place a Face or Ace card in three turns, they can still claim the deck and cancel the "No Show" if they recognize a pattern before the other player does. The first player to lose all their cards forfeits, and the player who is still holding onto their cards wins! --CONTROLS:-- SPACE to deal cards at the beginning Q to slap as Player 1 M to slap as Player 2 Click hand to play a card when it is your turn Hover mouse over standing deck to view the last three cards played V to control volume --UPDATE LOG-- 5/1 - Game released.

BUGS: -- The deck may glitch if a player slaps right as a "No Show" is declared; the deck will appear to have cards in it even when there are no cards on the table, and players will be able to slap. -- Rarely, for reasons yet to be determined, the game will sometimes register that a card is still being played even when it isn't, resulting in a game-lock. For now, a manual override has been added where if the game thinks a card is still being played for an extended duration of time, the game-lock will be manually overridden.
