Missing Link; Chapter one: The Tragedy

CHAPTER ONE: The Tragedy *Knock Knock Knock* "Come in." I say "Oh! Link! Good it's you! I'm so nervous. I don't know if I should do this." I say in a panic "You know better than anyone that a lot of people are after me, after my power, and I don't want to put my kingdom, family and friends in danger by making Hyrule bigger target." I say worried Link, standing a bit out of the frame of the door, does nothing to respond other than stare at me like a blank canvas. Dare I say I see a bit of worry on his face? "Well? Aren't you going to respond? *Sigh*. That's right you never say anything. Never talk never respond. Ugh. This is a bad idea. Maybe I should just call the whole ceremony off." I say in a frustrated tone. Defining silence follows. Link walks over to me get's on one nee gently puts his hands on my arms, looks up to me and says: "This kingdom, needs you." I felt tears forming. The Silent Knight, who never says anything to anyone, talks to me today to say that. That meant the world to me. I ram myself into his arms and give him a big tight hug. He stiffens for a second. Suprised, but then he returns it just as strongly. I hear music coming outside. The ceremony is about to start. "Oh, well. W-we better get going." I say gently pushing away from Link, realizing we had been hugging longer than a hug should be. Link walks beside me as I walk out of my room to the outside of Hyrule castle. "PEOPLE OF HYRULE! IT HAS LONG BEEN HELD OFF BUT MY DAUGHTER HAS FINALLY AGREED TO OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCE HERSELF AS: PRINCESS OF HYRULE!!!" My father announces The crowd cheers with joy. "NOW BEFORE WE BEGIN, I'D LIKE TO-" *Muffles of into speech* *Swoosh* Something grabs my attention. I look around. Link gives me a look as if asking if everything is okay. For he is by my side during the ceremony. I am too afraid to respond in any way. I'm so afraid that something might happen I start to shake. Link seems to have noticed for he puts his hand around mine to comfort me. It worked! :) "-NOW IT IS TIME. Zelda. Please step forward." My father announced and signaled me. I stepped forward holding my head up as if I was proud, while really on the inside I wanted to run and hide. "NOW, WITHOUT FURTHER ADO, IT IS MY HONER TO ANNOUNCE MY DAUGHTER, ZELDA,-" My father grabs the crown and holds it over my head before he continues. -"AS ZELDA!! PRINCESS OF HYRULE!!" He gently puts the crown on my head. And the crowd cheers. "AAAAAAAAAH!!" My father screams in agony! I look at him and I see an arrow deep in his arm. "FATHER!" I scream. Link draws out his sword and starts to fight. I get the arrow out of my fathers arm. I use a cloth around my waist to hold back the blood. The guards take him off to the castle. I notice that Link is struggling so I use that same arrow from my fathers arm as a spier and throw it at the Yiga warrior.. I pierce it through the side of his arm just enough to get him distracted so that Link can get back up. I turn around only to find a warrior pointing an arrow straight at me! I flinch as he lets go, but Link blocks it with his shield. He fights him off and with my back towards his, I use my power to fight off more. Me and Link, side by side, protecting our kingdom. Until I see a Yiga Blademaster sprinting towards me with smoke in his right hand. I try to use my power, but he blocks it with his smoke. "What?" I gently say in disbelief. I scream and flinch as I can do nothing while he is sprinting towards me. Right when he was about to huddle me in his smoke, Link took my place. "LINK!!" I cry! And they both disappear. The rest of the Yiga warriors run off. And I am left there. All alone. Everyone else went to help villagers and injured. I fall to my nee's. I can hear galloping in the distance. Guards coming to help me return to the castle. But I am too distraught to try to go towards them. I sit there. On the ground. Tears running down my cheeks. "..............Link..............."
