Random post yes I randomly developed the urge to draw my character, Felix, in the arcane style and accidentally developed a really good workflow for it as well. I’ve always hated the idea of making separate layers for different sections in a drawing like hair, skin, clothing. It just really irks me, yk? I like using layers as efficiently as possible. But doing that would be really helpful to keep areas separated without having to carefully reselect them every time you want to edit them. Then I realized, if I just duplicate the flat colors, I can use the magic select tool on the unrendered layer beneath to reselect an area that’s already been rendered. Idk if that made sense. I used Jinx as a reference lol. At first I thought it would be difficult to draw this specific character like arcane because his face is round and most arcane characters have sharp face planes, but nah it worked out just fine. Anyway, I love my little silly goober <3 he’s so spoiled, bratty, and full of character development potential. My sister thinks he looks like a lesbian when his hair is less curled ☠️ tbfr he looks anything but straight, yet somehow he gets a wife and kid in the future .
