risky post ngl,, might get canceled on this land mine field of a website! im going to straight up say it: STYLE THEFT IS NOT REALL NOBODY has the right to own a certain artstyle. even if it is super original and has never been seen before. everyone develops their style somehow. you cannot tell me you just saw a real cat and magically gained an art style. people learn from other styles, whether it is from media or another artist. for example, let’s say I'm a beginner artist still trying to find their artstyle. I stumble across @.supercoolartist’s art, !! wow!! i immediately fall in love with their art style, and they are a huge inspiration to me. I start to draw in a style very similar to @.supercoolartist’s. even though my style is pretty much the same as theirs, my art is still original and fully my own. none of my pieces are directly referenced or traced. I'll say it once again, style theft isnt real. who even are you to tell someone to change their style because if looks like someone else’s? are you so desperate to be original and unique that you won't let anyone take inspiration off of an art style that you couldn't have developed without being inspired by others? if you tell people change their entire art style just because someone else supposedly already “owns” it, I think you need to hop off that keyboard and touch some grass! (this one’s gonna get some people mad for sure!!! :fear:) disagree with me all you want <3
