wowo im feeling bored and i really enjoy kiriel so here, ill prolly delete this soon haha pretty much in every universe kiriel is a flawed character that has been shaped by the extremes of many situations. He hides his true self and doesn't really know who he is, and when he does figure it out, he feels like he can't be that person. He has a lot of anger bottled up and he's terrified of being forgotten in the future. It allows him to seem composed at first, but he's almost like a volcano. When he wants something, he can just lie or act, and he weaponizes how many people underestimate him. Kiriel's childhood had essentially left a scar that never fully closed. He doesn't trust love easily because he believes that he was created to be left behind. His flaws cut deep, he is reckless, stubborn, and manipulative. He's defensive and when he feels cornered, he lashes out. Kiriel doesn't love gently, he loves the way a starving man holds a meal. When he cares for someone, he watches them constantly, remembers every detail, and risks everything to protect them. At the center of all of his actions is this constant thought in his mind "What am I if nobody remmebers me?" He tests people, not to break them, but to see if they’ll stay. Because deep down, he is terrified of being loved, and even more terrified of being left. He pushes people away before they can leave, even when he wants nothing more than to be loved and accepted. Kiriel wants to be loved, but on his terms. He needs to feel in control. Kiriel doesn’t back down. Even when he’s wrong. Even when the cost is high. He’ll fight to prove he’s right, or at least not weak. He’ll walk into danger rather than admit fear. Pride drives him to prove himself constantly. The tragedy is that Kiriel’s pride isolates him from the very things he longs for most: closeness, trust, healing. His fatal flaw, pride, is not about believing he’s better than everyone else. It’s about believing that no one else will truly accept him if they see him for who he is. So he builds a throne out of his own walls. And he calls it power. But really, it’s just a cage.
