Its only known fossils were found in 1999 on Cajual Island in the rocks of the Alcântara Formation, which is known for its abundance of fragmentary, isolated fossil specimens. The remains of Oxalaia were described in 2011 by Brazilian palaeontologist Alexander Kellner and colleagues, who assigned the specimens to a new genus containing one species, Oxalaia quilombensis. The species name refers to the Brazilian quilombo settlements. Oxalaia quilombensis is the eighth officially named theropod species from Brazil and the largest carnivorous dinosaur discovered there. One study suggested that this taxon is a junior synonym of the closely related African genus Spinosaurus, but this was disputed by subsequent studies which consider the genus to be diagnostic.
Hi, uhh this could be the last thing i do here on this website for now. My 3 reasons: 1. Lack of motivation, self explanatory. 2. Lack of attention, could come down to being infamously inactive but man, people just forget I exist which makes me go :(. 3. Jealousy. As a guy with a big ego, seeing something that looks better or in some case literally inferior doing better or a project underperforming will cause me to lose my....uhh temper. come on man, I make good stuff ya know, WHERES MY WORTH. I might take a hiatus if this project underperforms as expected. Ok sure it sounds like im guilt tripping, but trust me. Im done if this project doesn't succeed as expected. If it somehow succeeds, guess im staying a little bit more. Sure I could just take a break at anytime but, I just refuse to. Im addicted to this website ok?
