I have a purpose in data and field, To study life, its patterns revealed. Through microscopes and careful sight, I’ll learn the world, from day to night. I’ve sworn an oath to nature’s laws, To trace each movement, find each cause. But in my mind, another spark, A need to write, to leave my mark. I walk the line between the two, Where science speaks, and stories brew. One path leads to nature’s heart, The other to the written art. I’ve pledged to learn both wild and word, To chart the creatures, make them heard. But can I balance both pursuits, Caught between observation and written truths? With field notes in hand and stories to weave, I’ll search for knowledge, never to leave. A zoologist and writer, I’ll become, Finding answers where both dreams are from.
I will be sharing a new poem that I wrote every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, they will also pretty much all be about my life Pt. 2: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1169441548
