Click the fish. Each time you do, your player eats it, and adds 1 progress to the goal. When you surpass the goal, you evolve. There are ten evolutions. Unlock them all in the almanac. Gems are incredibly important because you can craft spells from them and cast the spells. All items are explained in the Book of Items located on the right of the screen. Right arrow to navigate books and click the page you're on when done.
