Whoa is that a DTAE???? This guy is so silly. And also hard to colorpick from. Seriously that was painful So yeah cipher- a VERY nice design. they were pretty fun to draw I’d say. The 2 light sources gave me some trouble but I think it ended up looking pretty good. Also I kinda… spontaneously decided to make them anthro because that’s a lot more fun to draw than feral. It also makes posing them to look smug more interesting than just “one paw up” You wanna know what WASN’T fun to draw tho? The inside of their cloak. Seriously why must computer parts be so hard to draw with perspective assuming that it’s on cloth (that’s really specific ik but it’s true) I do think the leg pose could’ve been a little better. Like less stiff. It’s not awful but it’s not the best either. The background was kinda haphazardly slapped together with layer modes and text to it’s a wee bit strange— but I think it makes the piece look more complete than if it was just cipher. Might add more at some point if I feel like it. I’m also physically ill rn so apparently that means that I’m doing DTAEs. I swear this happens every time and it’s incredibly strange.

If you want some kinda lore here’s something I thought of (outdated :D): > their name is cipher. They’re some kinda creature that can travel between cyberspace and reality using some strange, slightly horror-y brain shenanigans. They use this power that they gave themself to steal people’s money and stuff. (Often by disguising as a helpful program or “AI assistant”, making people download them, and then using their access to data to steal as much as they can) The IRS is most definitely after them but they most definitely don’t care. They WILL keep stealing peoples’ money and nothing will stop them (at least that’s what they think, idk if it’s true). they probably look a lot less robotic and cyber-y outside of cyberspace, though they have a lot of similar markings. Their ears definitely don’t float, I’ll tell ya that much. (Can you tell that I like characters with slightly creepy undertones-)
