I made up the story after the animation, but basically I freak out over seeing Scratch Cat on TV with the wrong mouth color(it's usually white) and cartoon Marisa breaks my fourth wall to shut up my dumb reaction sounds. I initially made Cat's mouth pink to add more value contrast, but I decided to accept it just looked off. This project was meant to mimic the UPA revival art style and that of early 1990's to early 2010's animation. One of my smoothest short animations(at least the reaction part).
