the scratch community is so messed up tbh HAVE A LIST :DDDDD (some names are listed, if you are one of them, if you ask to remove them, i will.) don't report, please 1. hackers getting on the explore page when they shouldn't be. annoying. I want real projects, not empty ones no on cares about. There's no point getting views for absolutely nothing. This also leads to people getting mistakenly harrassed for their project getting on the leaderboard, and hated on, even if they didn't intend for it. (@swoIIen, you don't deserve the hate) 2. (also part of 1) hating on people for their projects not containing the usual styles of things on scratch. by this, I mean mostly gacha. (the hate @swoIIen getting) gacha is usually considered "cringe" and "bad" and "weird" and I think this is mostly for two reasons. One. It's not considered real art. Yes, it isn't. But it's still fun to make things with it. (note: unlike ai "artists", they don't claim they drew it or anything ai "artists" do.) two. the bad things that have been created to those FEW people in the gacha community. You know those people. You know their content. How disgusting it is. BUT NOT EVERYONE IN THE GACHA COMMUNITY DOES THIS!! SO DON'T ASSUME! Heck, I was apart of the gacha community once too. Don't judge. 3. the wonderful art community!/sarc I'd like to say some things. one. ai art isn't real. art is made by living beings like humans. don't claim ai art as your own or sell it to others, or make it a job you get payed for. two. don't steal others' art. they work hard for it, and they put effort into it. don't recolor, trace, or anything and then claim it as your own. it isn't yours. three. art takes time, and every artist goes at their own pace to make things. being an artist is hard, and if you ever comm them or do requests, don't yell at them for taking a while. don't try getting them in trouble or spreading rumors afterwards. (the drama between @breadmaster_adder and @tallonfrost's friends and them) four. style theft isn't real. i agree with this. https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1169118889 this has a perfect explanation. five. no art style is "ugly" (besides ai art, it's bad guys) but only unique. you shouldn't worry if someone says your art is bad. focus on what YOU *WANT* to improve with it. you should be happy with how your art is, and you shouldn't let others control it and make it something they and only them accept. 4. harrassment. bad. very bad. it hurts people horribly, and leads to death sometimes. simple bullying could lead to mourning and pain. don't have another's person life at stake because of you. be a good person. STOP MASS REPORTING TOO 5. accept others! don't hate on people for who they are, like because of their religion, race, home, or anything. If you say "this person in this group did this and it was baaad!" it doesn't mean the whole community does that. the furry/therian community. is. not. bad. the lgbtq+ community. is. not. bad. the gacha community. is. not. bad. whether or not a person is "good or bad" should be based on their actions. what they do, or would do when given the chance. if someone harms someone for no good reason, they would be "bad." if they help someone without any personal gain out of kindness "good" if a community is built on only harming others without a good reason, they would be bad. of course, there are many inbetweens. not just black and white. no one is one thing or another. 6. scratch guidelines. this is definitely getting this taken down but idc. scratch. please. stop. i see so many projects get taken down and so many banned. some of thse are for good reasons, but others aren't. i have a personal example. a while back, my friend was being hacked by someone. they knew this person in real life, who had physically threatened them with a weapon. on scratch, they threatened them too. It took weeks to have them banned, but not even IP banned. the only reason it isn't continuing is because that person got into serious trouble in real life. please, scratch. fix your guidelines. at LEAST add a block button.
