Just press the green flag to generate a cat! Press the gray button to see all the other buttons. Pressing the code button will give you a save code for your cat. You can copy this save code, then paste it into the text box that comes up when you press "import." WAIT FOR ONE SECOND, then your cat should show up! PROJECT WORKS BEST IN TURBO MODE, but this does not mean that it won't take time for something in the project to load. If something isn't working, you needed to wait for a second before you tried to do that.
Things that I've added: - After a second, a cat's genetic code will display! It shows as both a variable (for viewing) and a list item (for copy-pasting or exporting.) - The dilute modifier, giving us 4 more cat colors! These /should/ be able combine with the tortie sprite to give us caramel torties but it's still being tested. - You can no longer get red agouti cats! This was noted as something in the original that needed to be fixed, so I did my best to prevent it from happening. It should be totally gone now :) - The bengal modifier! That gives us four more types of tabbies, including rosetted tabbies! - Another tortie pattern, because we needed some more to compliment our new color possibilities! - Added the wideband gene, which can show up here as a golden tabby, or, in extremely rare cases, a chinchilla cat. I'm not quite sure that I did it right- if anyone knows about this specific gene, PLEASE let me know! - Curled ears, folded ears, manx bobtail, asian bobtail, and the chance of polydactyly! I'm thinking about maybe adding other disorders represented in the genetic code model used, but those will be a little trickier. - The ability to "copy" and "paste" cat designs! This allows you to save a cat design by pressing the COPY button, and putting them in with the PASTE button! It doesn't do much right now, but I'm hoping to use it to build up to a save code system! - The save code system! This is kind of broken. :D - UNrealistic mode! This was used to test the limits of the save system, but I thought it might be fun to leave it in so others could play with it. - The possibility of Karpati! I'm also not really sure this is accurate. If anyone has studied this a little more thoroughly I'd love to hear your thoughts. - fixed the whitespotting in the genetic code saving and added support for the wgwg gene. still may not be the most accurate but that's kind of how it's gonna work - fixed the genetic code for the BB gene adsfghjkl Notes: - The base used here is used to represent cats with both long and short fur in the original! I've made some (very poor quality) base edits for this one to show a cat's fur length a little more clearly. - Some caramelized colors are /very/ similar to their originals, but others are distinct enough that I thought it made the dilute modifier worth adding still. - The genetic code thingy was glitching a LOT- let me know if the genes are in order now, and if I'm missing any! They should look something like the example used in - I don't know if I want to add sunshine or extention- I just don't quite get them yet! I hope to improve though :) - Copying a cat's design is not the same as copying their genetic code. Once you press the green flag, the code is deleted. - Yes there is a cloud variable that goes up by one each time a new cat is generated. This was left over from an experiment with saving the cats online but I would have needed like 50 cloud variables so I repurposed the variable I had to this. Credits: - The original project is by ! They did the art for the cat base, most of the tabby patterns, and all but one of the tortie patterns. They also did most of the coding for the random generation. - The remix is by me! I edited Dragon's art to make things like the shorthair or folded ears bases. I aloso drew one of the tortie patterns and some of the tabby patterns, and coded,, most of the stuff that wasn't related to the actual generation of the cat. For a more detailed summary see above. - Concept by many many people over the years of Scratch's existence. - Also loosely inspired by Lostwoods V2. - Learned a lot about different cat patterns from as well as of course the original Sparrow's Garden! - Save/load code from a tutorial by
