Author’s note: I’d always wanted to write a story, I’d just never known which one to write. Then I found a song on a Scratch project, I believe. It was called Don’t Wait, by Joey Graceffa. The cover struck something in me, and suddenly, I needed to write a story about two gay men. And I developed a plot. The story was about two boys in the modern day, who met in a grocery store. Sounds like something I’ll write one day, but I said. Nope. Victorian age. Screw it. Shelf that for now. (pun not intended) And so here we are, a story of two princes falling in love in the Victorian age. With war. And death. Enjoy, my dears. And without further ado, here you go. Zachary Smutny
