In May, we celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month, to raise awareness about mental and behaviour health issues and to discourage the harsh treatments of people who sustain mental illnesses and disorders. (At least thats what Google said) In my words, I would say that this month is to ask people to recognize that not everyone is the same, or thinks the same, or acts the same. This month is to celebrate those differences, instead of make people hide them to fit into society. As someone who knows people with mental health differences, it's never something to be ashamed for, or try to hide. For people who'd on't have mental differences, it can be difficult for them to understand that people who do will not just act "normal" or whatever standard society has set. Many people just decide to bully those who act different instead. People use "autistic" as an insult or say they have anxiety or depression whenever they are simply nervous or sad. If you do this too, please stop. This is...not something to encourage or be proud of. Stop please. Autism is not something wrong or bad. And anxiety and depression are not emotions. They are disorders, that people all around you are facing. Have a nice May, Scratchers! -L00king_forAsign :)
