“As you explore, friends are made, and a dying legacy lives on inside you.” Story: The Tamer was in chimney canopy, but vultures attacked and they fell down to outskirts, and met a red lizard with a slugpup. They tamed the red lizard but the vultures were still following them. The tamer managed to escape them in garbage wastes, but not for long. (More stuff in code) Gameplay: You start in garbage wastes with a slugpup and a red lizard. Lizards are easier to tame High reputation with scavs You will always be chased by vultures in every area. Place in timeline depends on ending The Tamer has some of the hardest gameplay in Rainworld, because of a new area, forgotten river. It is mostly aquatic, and has 2 new lizard species. The pike and catfish lizards. The main mechanic of the pike lizard is they are the size of a vulture. And they deal 1.5 times the damage of a red lizard. They are hard to see, as they bend in with the background. The Catfish lizard is mostly blind, but can electrocute you from a close range. If it electrocutes you, it knows where you are for a while. It can basically vacuum you up from there. There are also 4 new creatures. The minnows, which are basically aquatic batflys, and are found swimming in groups of ten , the heron vulture, which is HUGE, and has a long, thin, beak. The trick to killing them, is to get a pike lizard to damage the beak. From that point, you can continue to attack the beak. Once you destroy the beak, it shows its weak point. The head. Spear it in the eyes to deal a total of 4 damage. Hitting the head will deal 2 damage. Next are the turtles. They are giant, ancient, intelligent creatures. Give them a new item, the shell, and they will slowly begin to trust you. Before, though, they will attempt to kill you on sight. The only way to kill them is to throw a bomb into its highly defended eye 5 times. The final new creatures are the snare weed. They look exactly like the various aquatic plants you will need to use to battle the current. Once you have been trapped, you are stunned for 5 seconds and all nearby catfish lizards will know where you are. The main mechanic of forgotten river is puzzles. You’ll have to tame and guide an eel lizard through a maze to progress and so on. The other mechanic is the current. Every 5 cycles, it will flood and you will have to grapple onto various aquatic plants to not get thrown into a lizard’s mouth. You also have to worry about the Outcast and Kip drowning, in this harsh area. You have to go to the Forgotten river within 30 cycles, as you have rot on your eye. If you do not go here in 30 cycles, you die. The reason you have to go here is there is a iterator here named Rapid streams, who will remove the rotten eye and replace it with an overseer eye. It is also the only way to get to another new area, Deep water ruins. (I haven’t figured out what creatures are in there… please suggest ideas…) This place is… for very experienced Rainworld players… you will be forced to leave Kip and The Outcast in a shelter in forgotten river. This is an important, but optional area. It is full of dangers not seen anywhere else. The deepest depths of Deep water ruins… hold a secret that… changes the whole game… you will find something that holds the answers to where you came from… and what happened to the ancients… the eye will guide you through the unseen danger… to the end. I have an ending I have not listed yet, there are hints though. It will be worth it. The forgotten river is the only way to get any endings. Endings: go to slugcat tree and meet a relative and Saint. Requires both companions Go to slugcat tree and meet survivor and monk Requires meeting five pebbles and completing food quest for gourmand, plus another slugpup. Meet all the other slugcats that don’t have a separate ending. Requires to be playing with co-op. Meet gourmand. In any area, just survive 40 cycles, and get survivor and monk ending, and get 5 slugpups. That’s all! “Something’s not right, in the depths, little friend… I can sense it, very faintly… The eye will guide you. To what, I do not know.”-Rapid Streams. “Deep in the depths, something calls out to the skys, as a final call to its kind, as it claims the black, cold, unseen depths, as its land. Something is there… that doesn’t belong…” -??? The kings are merely an echo of the true leader. A memory of the golden one. The one that used to soar before them. The True king still lives. And he is out for revenge, against the ones that destroyed his kingdom. The ones that ended his reign. The ones… that made him fall into the abyss… Before the ancients became mere legend. Little does he know… the one that he thought he killed… lived… And his memory lives on in an Outcast from their home… A child that was forgotten in the fog… And one, very friendly, remnant of The one who dealt the final blow.
(Deep water ruins was made before the ancients existed.) (2 of the endings take place after the stories of a chaotic swimmer, who is the Tamer’s relative, separated before either of them could remember by a servant of a enemy thought dead by those stuck between worlds who witnessed the legendary battle, and a green slugcat, the triple affirmative, in the snow, sent before sliver of straw ascended, though the snow stopped, as Chasing Wind awoke in the depths, somehow.) The Tamer, with many allies by his side, Is forced to go in without his closest friends, although he is not alone… Someone… Has been watching his every move… He has not yet met them… But they will be one of the most valuable friends he’ll meet. “Do you understand the ancient language, small creature? Oh, it appears… is that… the mark? I did not notice it before… I am sorry, I thought you were one of those creatures that attempted to kill me… the ones that are called “scavengers”. But it appears you are related to the king…”-A turtle. (The Mark, not the mark of communication, just The mark.)
