You thought you could quiet my voice. Said, “Your words have no meaning.” You thought that I can be one of your toys. Thought I can be silent. Sure, I’m a lady. With a voice and a soul. Sure, I can be crazy. And I can be whole. I won’t stay silent when I have things to say. You can’t tell me to sit down if I have plans to stand. I refuse to be your piece of clay. Or to just stay bland. I have rights and I have feelings. I have words that do have meaning. Anyone who wants to stand in my way, Can take me on with other women who will make you pay. I want to feel accepted in this society today. I want to paint a rainbow in this world full of gray. Stop trying to make the women stay silent. As we are the loudest ones and have roars of lions. My sisters and I stand here side by side. We have wasted all our tears that we have cried. “We are the women of the world! Don’t mess with the flame or you will get burned.” I say this to you if you’re a woman like me: Use your voice, loud and proud. You have rights, say it aloud. Don’t let the men crush you down. Remember: in stories, women wear the crowns.
Poet's note: I wanted to make a poem for all the ladies who are struggling today. Hopefully this inspires you (if you are a woman) to spread the message <3333 I honestly kinda like it though I don't think it is my best.
