Hello! It's been a while, hasn't it? You're probably wondering why I haven't been active for 5 months. Long story short, I got banned. Let me explain. After the permanent deletion of my favorite (at the time, not so much anymore) scratcher's account (I'm not naming who, I don't want to get banned again), scratch team started banning projects and accounts that protested against it or had anything to do with it in general. I had a few map parts that I did from 1 or 2 years ago on my alt account. I thought I was safe since ST didn't send me any warnings or notifications that would indicate that they saw the projects at all, so I kept them up. I worked really hard on those map parts, and I didn't want to have to hide them away. Looking back, I should've at least changed the description, so it didn't mention the name of the banned scratcher or directly call anything out. [popping in a few months later, i had no idea what that scratcher had done at that time, i only just recently learned about it. if i had known then, i would have unshared the map part or at least changed it so it didn't reference the scratcher or the map at all. i get that mentioning them on scratch was a big no-no, but i had no idea what they did. and an 8 month ban on my main and a 5 month ban on my alt for simply not understanding, ST? a warning could've worked.] I got banned on my main for having the projects up, and soon after I got banned on here too since I directly linked this account on my profile, as well as having the two accounts share the same email. "But Misty, why not just make a new account?" I actually have! I made a backup account on a different email in case I got banned, where I also do more risky things like join studio petitions against ST, warn about governmental issues that could harm certain minorities, ect. (Yes, politics are allowed on scratch, but I try to keep them centered in my backup account) By rejoining generations, I would've brought a lot of attention to that account. Which could be good, but also very bad. One of my projects is already popular on my backup account, and bringing more people to my account would probably get me banned due to mass reporting and such. I could've just made a brand-new account, but I was already out of emails to use. If I got banned on my backup account, ST would look at the email and ban me on my new backup roleplay account too. On top of that, my school district also banned scratch from being accessed on school computers, which greatly cuts down on my ability to roleplay. To roleplay every day, I would have to wait until after school, after I finished my homework, after I go to my acting classes, and I would have about an hour to roleplay each day. This then also gets cut in half because I have to bring my computer that can access scratch to and from my moms and dads houses, which sometimes I am unable to do so because the computer also doubles as my dad's extra work computer. It would be a lot of effort just to be able to roleplay for an hour or less a day, on a new account that has a high probability of being banned. So, I just waited out the ban until I was able to roleplay again. I'm really bummed about this since I was super excited to roleplay Skelly, and now I have no idea what is going on in generations once again. Yippeee.... I would be delighted if someone filled me in on what happened! I also don't know if Skelly is still alive, but I am really hoping he is. :( I don't have anything else to say, so I'll shut up now. Hopefully I'll be able to jump back into roleplaying! I really missed it.
space to switch between bad drawings :D
