Welcome to my first ever podcast!! Audio transcript below! Make sure to turn up your volume. :D --------Audio Transcript-------- Hello everyone and welcome to the very first episode of my brand-new podcast! Today this episode is going to be a Q&A, an overview of what the podcast is going to look like, and also a name reveal for the podcast which many of y'all have been asking about so I'm very excited to get to tell y'all that today. The first question is: Who is going to be in it and how will I find people to be in it? That's a great question! For now, it's only going to be me until I can figure out how to collaborate with other people on a project without spoiling it for everybody else. So, I'm going to be solo for a while until I can figure that out. The way I'll find people to be a part of it is if they contact me or if I contact them, but no matter who is trying to be a part of it, they have to follow certain rules, so I can make sure everything stays safe and appropriate and all that good stuff because scratch is a website where a lot of kids are on so I would want it to be as appropriate as possible while still spreading the truth. The next question is: Where are the episodes going to be posted on? That is another good question, and for now you will only find me on Scratch, when I get to college in a few years, I might switch to YouTube depending on if I have time, but I'm only one year into high school and I'm still trying to figure out my life and sports along with that and my relationship with God so I think that for now Scratch is enough for me but like I said I might do YouTube when I get into my college years. The next question is: Are you Hispanic or do you just know Spanish because you're learning it from your teachers? So, I am not Hispanic, I'm American but yes, I am learning Spanish from my teachers and then, the Spanish language is actually really really interesting and it's really fun to learn. I just finished Spanish 2 back in May when I finished my 9th grade year, so next year I'm going into Spanish 3 and I'm pretty excited for it. I'm not fluent in any way, shape, or form but who knows, maybe one day I'll drop a whole episode in Español. The next question is: What is my common sin? And I would say scrolling on the internet, I do it quite a bit. I still get outside, read the Bible, spend time with my friends and family, go to church, do volleyball and weight training, all that good stuff, but I definitely spend too much time on my phone. This question is: What is the most strangest dream I've had? I wouldn't necessarily call it strange, more just like interesting and a "wow" dream. But I've had this dream over and over again for whatever reason, sometimes I have repeating dreams, sometimes they're a little different but most the time they're pretty much the exact same. But in this one dream, I'm in my house and there's fireballs coming down from the sky so then I walk outside and then houses are being hit with fireballs and obviously burning down. But there's this one neighbor's house right across the street from me, so I go into their garage, one is open, and one is closed, I go into the one that's closed, and fireballs are coming through the garage and hitting my feet so I'm jumping up and down to try to not touch them and then all the sudden it gets super bright outside, I do a backflip and then halfway through the backflip it goes dark and then I finish the backflip in heaven so it's kind of like a rapture dream which I think is really cool and for some reason actually really felt like I got raptured, not that I know what that feels like but it just felt weird, it had a really weird feeling and when I woke up, I thought I had actually gotten raptured. This question is: Who is the podcast directed toward? I would say really anyone, I think we're just going to touch on so many different topics that surely at least one of them will interest you and you'll be like 'oh I want to listen to this' so my goal is to get it out to as many people as possible. Many people have asked me what the podcast is going to be on, and it's really going to be on a lot, were going to dive into the Bible, were going to explore how it relates to what's happening into the world today, we'll throw in some random fun stuff, because you know, who doesn't like a little fun? We'll talk about pretty much anything, y'all can request topics for me to talk about and I'd be more than happy to cover them for you. This next question is: Who or what inspired you to be a Christian? So, I'm very grateful that I grew up in a Christian household and we went to church multiple times a week, I'm very thankful that I grew up in a setting like that. I wouldn't say that anyone inspired me to be a Christian, it was definitely my own choice, nobody forced me to accept Christ, that would not be a loving thing to do, but when I was 7, I was at Vacation Bible School, and it was the last day...
---Audio transcript continued--- ... of the week and they did the altar call, like when you pray the prayer to accept Christ, that was always on the last day of VBS. and when I was 7, I prayed the prayer, and I accepted Christ into my life. Here's what you've all been waiting for: What is the name of my podcast? I picked the name "The Word in the World" because I think that it perfectly captures what I'll talk about, the Word refers to the Bible and also Jesus Christ, in John 1:1 it says "In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was God." The world represents our everyday lives of course, current events, and everything that's been going on, this podcast connects the Bible's timeless truth to our modern lives showing how faith applies to everything from school to friends, to global events. It's for everyone, aiming to be real, relatable and hopefully funny, but obviously there will be times when we have to be serious and humor it just not going to be a part of that topic. So, I wanted to let y'all know that my absolute hope is to get at least two episodes out a month, but especially during summer, I am still very busy, I have trips, camps, volunteering, volleyball, other stuff that takes up a lot of my time. So, at the least I am going to get one episode out a month. If I can't get two episodes out a month, I will post a different project that is less time consuming but still good to post. I hope y'all enjoyed this first episode, if you have any more questions, please let me know, I'd be more than happy to answer them! If you have any topic requests, I would love to have them, I already have a list going and I'm so excited to get started on those! @Ed_or_something (4 questions) @TheDudes421 (2 questions) @markArcher10 (1 question) @Jadeheart1 (1 question) Episode Length: 7 minutes and 19 seconds.
