Laughing is how it all started. New Year's Eve had always been the loneliest time of year for Sammy and Michael. With Alice out of the house, it was hard to find joy. When Alice came that New Year's Eve, that was the only time his face had ever lit up. Sammy knew Alice was safe so Sammy yawned and drifted to bed. Then out of nowhere... SMASH!!! Bottles and glass scattered the floor. Sammy could see her shattered reflection. What is happening? THE HOUSE! It was shining shades of red and orange... How pretty, like a phoenix; Michael was alone on the floor his face glistening with red and brown. "Sammy, g-g-g-go!" Sammy propped her ear up in confusion. Micheal threw the ball out the window. 'Fetch, now?'. With all the confusion Sammy ran after the ball. When she came back there was nothing. No Michael, No house. Nada. Then it all went black. Sammy woke up. Not at home. Must move. She tried to get up but the pain in her back leg stopped her. She wimpered and retreated. She hopped up on the windowsill. This isn't close to home. Have. *grunt* To. *grunt*. "Dog!" a girl called from the other room. "You made it!" What?? "Dog, that isn't a good name" "Orange?" No! "Bones" Sammy looked down at her leg, then at the woman. "Oh, you're leg, sweetie... You are so strong for pushing through this... Wait I know your name, Tenacity!" I yipped and barked, Tenacity shall be my name.
