Ch 1: Far away in a castle close to the Misty woods once lived a happy little family of three: A great king of power, his Queen, and their beloved Daughter. But this king wanted more power than he had, so he turned to Magic...dark magic. The Queen was terrified of this new power he used and sent him away afraid that this power would harm the princess in ways she couldn't hope to happen. as days bled to years, she couldn't bear to tell her daughter of his danger he made to keep her safe, but she knew she couldn't keep it hidden forever. All Maryanna remembers was her father had left and never came back she does not know or remember her father, who he was, or why he left because she was to young to remember. A few years later Princess Maryanna is now 18 years old and wonders through the empty hall wondering what happened to her Father. soon her Mother fell ill and was close to death. "My dear daughter soon you will be Queen, but I must tell you something I have never told you before." the queen says her voice a bit weak "I must tell you the reason why your father left." the Queen says a bit hesitant "Your father, he was a sorcerer and is very dangerous so I had to send him away to keep you safe." the Queen said holding Maryanna's hand "what, really my father he was a sorcerer?" The word "sorcerer" echoed in her mind, sending a chill down her spine, the Queen says "yes he was, and since today is your birthday I want you to have this." the queen held out a beautiful necklace to Maryanna. The neckless shimmers in the sunlight of the morning sun that shined through the window. Maryanna looks at the necklace then back at her mother and smiles "Thank you, Mother, it's beautiful." she says as she puts the necklace on. It was a beautiful crystal necklace and it was Maryanna's favorite color purple "Not only but it will protect you." the Queen says smiling back at Maryanna. "But… why didn't you ever tell me?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper."Did he ever try to come back?" The Queen closed her eyes for a moment, a shadow of regret flickering across her face."He wanted to," she murmured. "But I couldn’t let him. His magic—it was unpredictable, dangerous. I couldn’t risk losing you." Maryanna looked down at the shimmering necklace in her hands, its purple crystal catching the morning light. "If he was dangerous… then why give me this? Does it mean I have magic, too?" she asked, her heart pounding. ch 2: That night the castle had grown quiet. The halls, once filled with murmuring servants and distant footsteps, now lay in eerie silence. Maryanna sat on the edge of her bed, her fingers lightly tracing the cool surface of the necklace. The day had been unbearable—her mother’s passing, the weight of grief pressing down on her like an iron cloak. She just wanted sleep, to escape the aching loss, even for a little while. Then, the candles flickered. Not from wind—there was none. The windows were closed, the air still. But the flames swayed, as if something unseen had brushed past them. A shiver crawled up her spine. She turned toward the window. The mist over the woods had thickened, swirling unnaturally, and for the first time, it felt as if the forest itself was watching her. Then, it happened. The necklace heated against her skin. Not painfully, but with an unmistakable energy—a pulse, a calling. A strange hum filled the room, barely audible yet pressing against her senses. Like something had awakened.
