I hear Purah was giving you the roundabout, but you seem fine.” “Yes, I’m fine,” I said warmly. “I met with her over at Hateno…” “Yes, yes… now then, let me see the pictures you already have in your album…” I swiped my Sheikah Slate off of my waist and handed it to her, showing her the landscape pictures taken by the princess. Impa thought a bit about it. “So… if you do visit these areas, then you could get some of your lost memories back… if you ever get a memory, come back here.” “I’ll try my best,” I replied. “And before leaving… please take this with you.” She went upstairs, and I followed behind, seeing her pull a blue tunic from her drawer. “This is a Champion’s Tunic, that once belonged to you. It will help you on your journey.” “Thank you,” I said, as I left to change myself. The fabric of the blue Champion’s Tunic, along with the material of my earbuds, left a familiar sensation on my skin. Day 6-7 Taking another rest at the inn in Kakariko, I went with my loyal steed Epona, backtracking onto the trail that lead me to Kakariko. I immediately recognized the location for the first album, being near the front side of Hyrule Castle. However, as I approached near the Great Plateau, I passed by Lake Kolomo, which I realized looked similar to the second image in the album. Putting a pin of the location on my Sheikah Slate, I headed far north, avoiding guardians, reaching the Sacred Ground Ruins right in front of the castle. I took the Sheikah Slate out, looking at the castle, covered with malice, in the distance… And something clicked. ———————————————————————— “Hero of Hyrule, chosen by the sword that seals the darkness…” “I think I’m on the same page as the princess regarding… this boy.” “That boy is a living reminder of her own failures… at least, that’s how the princess sees him.” … ———————————————————————— My eyes blinked open back into reality. Purah was right… these locations were able to make me remember something. And it felt real, like I was there, able to hear what I had been thinking in my head. But one thought was now nagging in my mind: The princess hated me? Because I was… a living reminder of her failures? I shook my head. It was a hundred years ago. And I still don’t know much about the princess, and… myself. I knew what I had to do next, before heading into Zora’s Domain. Finding some of my memories. I visited Lake Kolomo near the Great Plateau, and the day after that, visited the Ancient Columns near the Tabantha region, close to the cold, Hebra climate. Both regions matched with the second and third photos that were permanently locked in my album, and lead me to two more, sudden flashes of memories. ———————————————————————— “Tell me the truth… how proficient are you right now, wielding that sword on your back? Legends say an ancient voice resonate inside it… can you hear it yet… Hero?” “It seems I am the ONLY one here with a mind of my own! …And STOP following me!” ———————————————————————— It appeared that Zelda felt resentful towards me, but why? Something felt off about these memories of resentments… And with this thought, exhaustion finally took over, falling into a deep sleep around the environment. Day 8 I prepared to head to find the fourth album photo, but one look into it realized I wasn’t ready for it yet. It seemed to be in the warm, harsh climate at the Gerudo Desert, in which I haven’t discovered yet.
