1-9] I brought Juneau out to the arena to practice her leading skills! I wrapped the lead rope around her hind legs and chest and held the rope at her back as opposed to how we lead adult horses. This is because foal necks can be delicate and susceptible to strain because their muscles aren't developed yet. She did really well in the arena, so I decided to take her out on a trail for something new. And boy, was she wild! She got really excited, looking at all the grass, the birds, the clouds even! It was hard to keep her going but eventually we made it back to the barn, and I put her back where she belongs. 10-18] I then tacked up Dusty and brought him to the indoor arena. I rode him on the rail first, going through our paces; walk, trot, canter. When we were finished, I pointed him to the jumps. He cleared those, so I raised them. He cleared those too! Dusty is definitely a talented jumper!
