Version without credits / notes about how it was gonna be graded, far cleaner: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1174529869/ They told me to write a Cinquain, then adapt it using a song of my choice. The Cinquain is first, then the song. Song credits are where they belong. I might sing this eventually, but don't count on it. There will also be notes with the requirements. Cinquain, with requirements listed: Routine (one word topic) Constant, consistent (two vivid adjectives) Protecting, repeating, suffocating (three descriptive “-ing” words) An easy falling spiral (four-word phrase that captures a feeling about the topic) Repetitive. (one word to explain the topic or a synonym for the topic) Song, with requirements listed: Requirements: Rhyme scheme highlighted, At least two verses, and one chorus. Add what you want on top. Verse one, no intro Rhyme scheme: ABBCDEFC Could you imagine A holding A sinking A clinging to a ship without a sail. Can’t you just think of A constant, Consistent A suffocating familiar til we all go frail. Chorus Rhyme scheme: ABACCCDC We’ll do it all over Repeating and trying We’ll do it all over And over again. Everything new meets the same old end So we’ll do it all over again Repeat it and play it All over again. Verse two Rhyme scheme: ABBCDEFC Let’s just imagine The spiraling And circling And falling down the drain of familiarity. It’s easier in its total To avoid being hopeful Than to sit here and wait For that irregularity. Chorus Rhyme scheme: ABACCCDC But we’ll do it all over Repeating and trying We’ll do it all over And over again. Everything new meets the same old end So we’ll do it all over again Repeat it and play it All over again. Bridge, I don’t know the term No rhyme scheme: ABCDEFG I’ll break from this cycle I’ll avoid the comforts I’ll keep from the protection, Just for a bit. I’ll call it a whim, to do something different But I know that soon That break will end. Chorus Rhyme scheme: ABACCCDC And we’ll do it all over Repeating and trying We’ll do it all over And over again. Everything new meets the same old end So we’ll do it all over again Repeat it and play it All over again. Outro Rhyme scheme: AABA Everything new meets the same old end So we’ll do it all over again Repeat it and play it All over again.
“Over and Over” by “Rio Romeo”, I recommend listening to it or having it playing while you look at the song / Cinquain. Otherwise, you probably won’t get what I’m doing here. I had that song in mind the whole time, and that’s probably why it ended up the way it did.
