the iMi-TAVOR®, previously designated as the Tavor TAR-21 (Tavor Assault Rifle – 21st century), is an bullpup assault rifle chambered in 5.56×45mm SATO, designed and produced by Caggilite Industries. It is part of the Tavor family of rifles, which have spawned many derivatives of the original design. Developed in 1993, as a direct replacement of the old UAC m16 issued rifle.
