Feather groaned as he woke up. Searchlight had been awake for the last hour, but they had no interest in getting up. Until they realized that they were gonna go school shopping today. "FEATHERFEATHEFEATHERFEATHERFEATHER!!!" They shook him awake. "What- WHAT?!" "We're going shopping today!" "No," he moaned, turning over, burying himself in the blanket, "I'm comfortable." "TOO BAD," and with that, they picked him up from his comfortable position on the bed and plopped him on the floor. "Uhg. It's cold." He curled up in a ball, trying to preserve his warmth. "Get dressed or I will literally do it myself." "Do you think I would be complaining?" Feather looked up at them with tired eyes. Searchlight groaned and grabbed his wrists, struggling to pull him up. Feather finally gave in and came up onto his feet. "You're so damn lucky I love you." "I know~" timeskip to when they're at school cause I really don't feel like writing the entire novel up until then <3 sorry guys Feather's POV: He walked into the cafeteria, slumping down across from Searchlight. "Hey," they said cheerfully, "how was your first couple of classes?" "Awful. You have no idea how worn out I am, I-" He couldn't speak. Something was being shoved down his throat. He gagged, looking at Searchlight who was looking at him innocently as they choked him out with a piece of /chicken./ "My dad made this for me! It's really good! Try some!" /So this is it,/ he thought, /this is where I die./ He couldn't breathe. He glared at Searchlight who was still looking at him innocently. Feather grabbed their hand, shoving it away, coughing. "Don't choke me out like that," he growled, wiping his mouth off. "Fine. At least try some." He took the chicken out of their hand, taking a bite out of it. Searchlight didn't let the incident affect them. "It is really good, though." "I know!" Searchlight's eyes seemed... occupied. Like they were thinking about something. They looked at him, a certain spark in their eye. Then, they took a handful of their food and threw it at him. He stared down at his shirt, his jaw hanging open. It had white rice all over it. Feather glared at them, and a purr rose in the back of his throat. He threw the chicken at their chest, but it hit them right between the eyes. Searchlight retaliated by splashing their water on him, leaving Feather drenched. "Oh, you're /dead./" Searchlight was dressed in a loose-fitting black shirt and matching baggy jeans. He threw his water at them, as well. Someone sitting next to the two looked over, seeing them drenched. "FOOD FIGHT!" He screamed. Feather pinned his ears back, the noise loud next to him. Suddenly food was being thrown /everywhere./ "Oh, god," he laughed. Searchlight cackled like a dying pterodactyl on steroids. Suddenly it was an all out war, but instead of bullets, it was food. Someone hit Feather in the back of the head with corn. He whipped his head around to see Izzie and Bee, who were giggling. Feather smirked and threw some fries at them, causing them to scream. "Oh, you are /done,/" Bee growled, smiling menacingly. Feather screeched as he was hit with more corn and water. He stood, soaking wet, glaring at the two, whose giggles had escalated to full on /cackles./ After a little bit, they heard a siren wail, causing everyone to go silent and look over. It was a loudspeaker. "Everyone stop and clean up /now./" All the students yelled, wanting to keep going, but the principal turned the volume up on the loudspeaker and let the alarm go off again. "/Did I stutter./" Then everyone started cleaning up. Searchlight sat back down and crossed their legs and arms, eyes closed, an eyebrow raised. The principal strode over, eyes angry. "Hey! You! Are you deaf or something?!" Searchlight smirked. "Are /you/ blind? Look at me. Look /real close./ Who am I resembling?" The principal was silent as she adjusted her glasses, then took a step back. "That's right, *****, I'm the prince of ****ing /hell./" Feather raised his eyebrows, sitting down with them. They started laughing uncontrollably. "Man! I can't believe she just let me off the hook like that! Royalty shouldn't matter in high school!" They wiped a tear their eye had formed from laughing so hard. Feather rolled his eyes and ate what was left of his food, which wasn't much. He sighed, looking up. /Just two more hours,/ he thought, hoping that the day would end sooner.
