TYSM FOR 400! This happened so fast, I can't even believe it :D This will close June 15th Now, if my darling music babies have been following along, you might know that I did a Singing Competition for 250 followers, a Song-Writing Competition (which as I am writing this with 394 followers, hasn't even closed yet! :D) for 300 followers, which means the logical next step is a Musical Instrument Competition! I'm sorry if you don't have access to an instrument to play for this, if you really want to enter, perhaps there's someone you can borrow from <3 ENLIST YOUR BAND KID FRIENDS! I will also accept digital submissions (songs written using online software, not physical instruments) and you will be considered part of percussion, simply because it makes slightly more sense than the other categories xD Here is a link to a tutorial on piano inversions and how to make playing chords even easier!: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1142883814 PRIZES (inside the project, but just to make it easier) 3rd Place (4x, one for each section): Shoutouts on my next music-related project 2nd Place (4x, one for each section): I will do a project of covers for the 4 songs that the winners of 2nd place choose :3 1st Place (1x, one winner overall): GUARANTEED Collab ticket. What this means is that the winner of the competition will jump to the top of my collab waiting list to do any sort of collab that they like :3 In the event that they don't want to use this ticket, they may gift it to any Scratcher, who will take their place at the top of the waiting list. REQUIREMENTS: Part 1 (proving skill): a. major, minor, chromatic scale (OR) b. At least 30 seconds/16 measures of a previously learned song. Provide picture of music used. Part 2 (creating music): a. Write an original 20+ second solo. Include written sheet music for solo, or three separate audio recordings. (OR) b. Write chords for the verses, chorus, and bridge of an original song. Submit a recording of MINIMUM one minute of you playing the chords, dictating out loud where the verses, chorus, and bridges are. Submit a picture or screenshot of the written chords. You will be judged on note accuracy, tuning, and tempo for Part 1, Part 2 will be judged by note accuracy and confidence in their solo. And don't even think about pulling a fast one on me! I may be a choir kid who only really plays one instrument, but I have finally joined forces with the _bAnD kIdS_ to help me judge this fairly :3 Good luck! I love you all so so much, and if you have any questions, please reach out <333333
