They are some of the most efficient plants in the ocean and have spread everywhere using seed-like offspring with a bubble of hydrogen in them to carry them to the surface and allow a monsoon to spread the seeds to new waters. The rough treatment of these seeds pops the bubble and makes them sink to the ocean floor, where they start growing.
I made it larger because plants don't follow the rules of animals and need to produce food for large schools of ocean life
