Puppy mills are a place where they force mother dogs into having pups until her body gives out. Then they kill the mother. The dogs have to live in small, crowded cages in a dark environment. And they sell the dogs to pet stores. So if you're going to adopt (and please do, as every 8 seconds, a cat or a dog dies because it can't find a home), please adopt from a rescue center.
