This is NOT a confirmed mechanic. If enough people agree to add it, we will. It's just an idea right now. Overview: The base concept is, there's a new meter or counter that tracks your "style." If you know Ultrakill or Splatoon Side Order, this should sound familiar. By filling up the meter, you earn more multipliers for stats and drops. The amount for the multiplier is determined by your "style level," ranging from "decent" to "colorful." I'll explain that later. How to fill it up: To gain more style, you can complete these actions: - Kill enemies - Damage enemies - Using non-healing items (to encourage actually using them) - Maybe crafting? Higher levels of items that you craft will grant more Style. - Complete a wave. The faster you press "next wave," the more you get. If you're too slow, you'll start to lose Style faster. How to lose it: To lose style, you'll complete one of these actions: - Not doing something to increase style (you will immediately begin losing style after gaining some, so be quick!) - Healing maybe? - Waiting too long between waves - idk, gimme more ideas Style Levels: Style Levels determine how much multiplier you get. Notice that the levels don't give a TON of multiplier. This is because I want this to be a cool background mechanic that doesn't affect gameplay too much. - Decent: No multiplier - Good: 2% Multiplier - Great: 5% multiplier - Awesome: 10% multiplier - Colorful: 15% multiplier Multiplier affects your damage, orb drops, item drop probability, item drop rarity, and speed. Beyond Great level, you will also get a crit chance (2x damage) that has the same chance to trigger as the multiplier percent. The higher your Style Level, the faster you'll lose Style. When your Style reaches zero, your Style Level will drop 1 rank. It also progressively takes more Style to increase your Style level based on how high your Style Level is.
