— If you haven't heard, I'm remaking my roleplay: Echoes of Chaos, Songs of Death. I feel like the two biggest questions are 'why are you remaking it?' and 'what's going to be changed?' so I'll answer both. To start, I'm remaking it because I personally grew unsatisfied with the mechanics and features of the world. Echoes, the current Echoes, does not reflect the world I want to make. It's like a watered-down, less thought-out version. I have been working on a much more in-depth and creative approach instead, although it is still in the works. Now, what will I be changing? A lot. Most things, at their core, will remain the same. However, I WILL be adding onto previously established lore and going into much more detail. So far, here's a list of things I'm adding: - More regions outside the Empire [these will be accessible, however, you will be unable to interact with those inside the Empire until it has been overthrown] - More detailed magic systems — this is just to help me keep track of abilities and make sure nobody is overpowered - More races/species — that can help determine a character's looks, powers, strengths, weaknesses, values, etc. - Magical creatures !! I'm really excited about this one—I will be creating new and original species that have their own magic. - More gods — The main five are still in the most power, but there will be more canon minor gods added, with some being patron deities for other nations and regions. - Mythology — I will be including my own myths and legends regarding the gods and Tlersas [the world's name], which will have relevance to the plot. [including certain parallels] - History and a canon timeline — inspired by Xandrya's Awakening, [a really really really cool roleplay by my friend !! Follow @Xandrya_findnemo123 and sign up !! It's such a cool concept, and the worldbuilding and writing are masterful.] Echoes will have a timeline of history leading up to the present, which will be modified as the roleplay and plot progress !! All characters can affect the timeline and plot, this will be interactive. - More roles — The roles will be given more depth, and there will be more positions to choose from! Basically, I'll be making things clearer. - Cultures, languages, traditions, etc — I'm really excited for this part, it's probably my favorite. I essentially just went into much more detail for the worldbuilding, and will be adding much more to each race's culture, such as language, myths, traditions, beliefs, script, and more! It's gonna be really fun. The last part of this project is my request. The thing about this roleplay is that there will probably be a lot to read and understand. It's going to take a while for me to make. I'll try and make everything as easy to understand as possible, and minimize the amount of extensive info given, but my biggest concern is participation. I'm extremely passionate about Echoes, and I have spent so much time trying to make it a fun experience for everyone on here. So I'm just asking: please give it a shot, please sign up, please invite other people. Please just join, because I would love to share my passion project with you all. I promise it won't be that confusing, that I'll make things easy to understand, but please just don't be overwhelmed. Most of the projects won't be necessary to read anyway lol—they'll just be additional info, should anyone want to learn more. Lastly, all the information will be posted on , however, the roleplay will not officially be open for a bit. In the meantime, the current Echoes will still be open, although I may close it once the new studio opens. Another note: anyone who signed up for the old Echoes doesn't need to sign up again! However, the one thing I will ask you to do is read the updated lore to see if you want to modify your character to better align with the story. This, of course, is not required, but I would recommend reading over the newer magic guidelines and race descriptions. Lastly, thank you all so much for the support for Echoes. I really didn't think I would get the project off the ground, but the studio is thriving! I hope to keep the idea beloved in people's minds, and that the new studio is just as active.
