Applying for: Dreamkit Personality Simplified: (+)Empathetic, selfless, authentic (=) loner, detached (-) self-loathing, obsessive, insecure detailed: Dream is incredibly caring and sensitive, good at figuring out emotions and accommodating them, but is willing to give cats space or not be pushy if a cat is hiding their emotions. She is very kind and will put herself at risk and be incredibly self-sacrificing to help others, as long as she believes what she's doing is right. She never lies and, although she will adjust herself to make other cats comfortable, she always seems authentic and honest, not wearing a mask but simply adjusting slightly. Despite all this, she has incredibly low self esteem, believing herself a creep. She purposely drives cats away, helping them but avoiding creating bonds, and tries not to let herself get attached to anyone. She is very obsessive over what cats think of her, trying to be as helpful as she can, but distances herself so that no-one will hate her, because the thought simply terrifies her. If someone has a bad opinion of her, and she can tell, she will follow them around obsessively to try to get them to like her, despite usually being detached. She believes that if she makes a mistake, everyone will hate her forever, and even think this around cats she knows like her, and when she thinks someone dislikes her, her mind will be racked with horrible anxiety until she does something. Her fluctuating personality may cause instability, and she is incredibly insecure. Activity level: 8/10 Gender: Female, she/her Sexuality: lesbian Research: She will struggle with OCD throughout her life. I know it’s a commonly misrepresented disorder, but I’ve done a lot of research and have a friend who has it, so I hope to portray it accurately. OCD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, involves constant "obsessions", intrusive thoughts, images, or anxieties that cause great distress. To cope with these obsessions, a person may engage in repetitive or compulsive behaviors, which can sometimes lead to further consequences. For some people, OCD involves a need for things to be extremely neat or “just right,” and if they’re not, it causes intense distress. But obsessions can also be other things, such as upsetting thoughts or fears that keep returning. In Dream’s case, her obsessions center around worries about how others perceive her. Not just typical social anxiety, but obsessive fears that drive her to put herself in danger to gain approval, while also distancing herself to avoid seeming clingy. When Dream thinks someone dislikes her, she becomes horribly anxious, her mind tormenting itself with fearful thoughts. When she finally convinces herself that someone does like her, she feels intense relief, but the cycle soon begins again. Later in life, she will understand she has OCD and try to let herself get close to cats or combat the negative thoughts. I hope this is ok cause my fingers hurt :') Extra info: I'm really bad at trivia, but her theme song is Creep by Radiohead Previous cats: Cardinalcall, Spicespark, Cameliakit, Spookyhollow, and Victory extra: I don't plan on grinding with her a lot, because I want her to be more about words than actions, though I'll probably get her a decent 20 in fighting at least.
