heh Lore time Btw- I would like to preface- griffin does not die. Smth does happen to him, but he does not die. I don’t want to say what bc spoilers but yea So- Some of you might know that Nathan and griffin are rlly good friends And for those who don’t know, now you do. Nathan is closest to goo and griffin- and he’s good friends with all of the group- but he’s rlly close when it comes to griffin- they even were the first two who met But, as time progresses, as it does, griffin starts to fear Nathan. Nathan has become colder and more violent- and DJR himself TERRFIES griffin- it’s a constant state of fear and lack of security around Nathan, because he could and has gotten possessed at any time- and usually tries to target griffin since he is closest to Nathan- and him dying would cause massive agony towards Nathan- making Nathan easier to possess: Nathan still tries to reach for griffin and be freinds- but griffin is simply too scared of the possibilities and DJR. Nathan understands, of course, but it does hurt slightly. And it also makes Nathan very very angry at DJR- and the more unstable emotions Nathan has, the easier it is for DJR to take over. As Nathan distances himself from the others- the two kinda drift apart. Griffin has become increasingly more and more parinoid. He’s begin even hallucinating DJR around corners- a flash of him in electric shocks- and in the dark- and even for a second thinking he sees DJR’s eyes in his other freinds. He’s even begun keeping a knife in his room for self defense. Of course, he still cares deeply abt Nathan- hence catching Nathan when he tried to oof himself, and still backing him up whenever he can. But- he draws back every time Nathan tries to touch him He feels awful for being scared of him, but doesn’t feel exactly safe either- full of confliction. He feels pathetic for being so scared all the time- and rising towards himself has been rising steadily. He remembers winter/kiera (winter is her nickname) - and how similar she was to Nathan- and gets scared that the same thing will happen- he’ll disapeer or even die too. Everyone else is grouping into pairs- and he feels utterly- utterly alone. Candy of course always reaches out, but they’ve never been close enough to actually form much of a real bond- the key link in everyone’s friendships was Nathan. And now that Nathan is fading away- things fall apart.
