LORE --------------- Monarch is a SilkWing-SeaWing hybrid who has DID. People with DID have two or more distinct identities, each with its own behaviors, memories, and even mannerisms. These identities, often called "alters," can take control at different times, sometimes causing memory gaps for the person experiencing them. DID is typically linked to severe trauma, often in childhood, and serves as a coping mechanism where the mind creates separate identities to handle distressing experiences. It's a rare and complex condition, and treatment usually involves psychotherapy to help integrate the identities and improve overall functioning. Monarch has two personalities: A sweet, protective male SeaWing named Conch and an anxious, jittery female SilkWing named Monarch (herself). As a child, she was supposed to be born as two dragons: A SilkWing and a SeaWing, created for malicious purposes. However, they fused and their creater recolied and threw her into the ocean. Knowing she would die, it cackled disgustingly. Monarch/Conch actually lived miraculously and runs, dashing around Pyrhhia and hiding. Both dragons meet in dreams, so Monarch sleeps the day away and travels at night. One peaceful day, a dream gets out of hand and Conch is controlled by a glitchy gay man (aka creator). Monarch tries in vain to escape the dream, and sleeps for years.
