[ ⚔ ] Stileras: Strength, Honor, Wit Overview: Stileras is the largest continent under the Empire’s control and the base of operations for the Empire. A diverse mix of people, cultures, resources, and opportunities, it serves as the perfect canvas for development and creation. Surprisingly enough, most of its resources have been left untapped, but who knows how long that will last? Climate: Stileras' climate is generally pleasant. It is characterized by mild, sunny summers with warm but not intolerable heat and cold, wet winters ranging from slush to snow, depending on the location. There is moderate rainfall year-round, resulting in a thriving agricultural industry. Geography: Stileras is a large continent, so the geography varies vastly. The North is more rocky and elevated, with hills and mountains dotting the map. In the South, it is more open, the landscape is plains and valleys rather than canyons and ridges. This has resulted in an agriculture-oriented South and a technology-oriented North. However, you can find forests and woodlands all over Stileras. In the North, the terrain is rather rocky, and caves can be found quite frequently. Mining is a rather large industry in this region of the continent, due to the number of caves and stone available. Many essential minerals and materials have been discovered in Stileras’ mines, such as Admintium, which has the ability to mimic and artificially produce magic if used correctly. Such discoveries and resources have been quintessential in the Empire’s technological development. Recently, a new stone has been found, a crystal said to possess the peculiar ability to alter a being’s very structure. The Marchand family is currently conducting testing to see how they can utilize this new discovery. In the South, the soil is soft and the breeze is gentler. An open sky and open fields lead to a large amount of wildlife that dwells comfortably amidst cities. It is not uncommon to see a wild flintwin ambling through a street without a care in the world, or to have flocks of spindrels comfortably nesting above rooftops. The South produces most of the basic needs of the Empire, providing food, textiles, animal products, soaps, and other simple products. While not as loud or politically active as the North, the South is the breadbasket, the backbone of Stileras, and it should not be underestimated. Without it, the Empire’s economy could easily collapse. History*: Before the Empire gained power, Stileras was an agricultural civilization. The majority of its population lived in the South, and the Northern territories were widely regarded as uninhabitable. Most citizens lived in small villages and towns, without a large central government. However, after the surge in technological development and urbanization that came with the Empire’s rise to power, a large number of citizens migrated North for opportunities and power.
