This is a simple flickering effect for animatronic eyes on a low budget, a technique I've used myself on costumes A flickering candle is almost always available at a thrift store for about 15¢, making this an easy solution for costume makers. other LEDs can be found in toys, if you don't have any on hand. because you shouldn't remove the flickering LED from the candle, I've chosen for my costume to set it in the roof of the mouth, and give a flickering effect to the inner jaw to accent the teeth.
