I stand by having some contempt for the majority of the younger transgender community because of their “idolization” of transness and the idea that you must live to a standard (whether that be that greasy cis raccoon misogynistic cosplaying demon or soft uwu twink femboy). If you purposely lean into these stereotypes just for the sake of leaning into them, please please please do not interact with me and read books on nonconformist trans experiences (stone butch blues is a good one). Gender noncomformity I am here for, purposely perpetuating stereotypes I am not, because it also perpetuates the idea “you have to be white to be trans” the majority of the time. It also gets incredibly dehumanizing as a person of color knowing that people will call them “stinky” and “disgusting” on purpose when I physically cannot knowing that by my race I am inherently seen as “stinky” and “gross”. (“Freak” is fine. “Gross” as a genuine descriptor? Are we for real) TLDR I love he/him women and she/her men cis or trans. I appreciate contradictory labels a lot.
