Chapter 7 A few sunrises later, a patrol of GravityClan warriors was patrolling their borders. Suddenly, a pretty yellow furred she-cat limped out of a juniper bush. “Sunfur!” the she-cat said. “How are you?” Shineripple and Seedpelt bristled. “How do you know our deputy?” Shineripple asked. Sunfur rested her tail on the warrior's shoulder. “Chamomilefur,” said Sunfur. “It’s nice to see you. What can we do for you?” Shineripple and Seedpelt let their fur lie flat. Chamomilefur smiled. “Don’t worry, I’m not an enemy. Sunfur and I have known each other since we were kits. We were practically sisters. Speaking of which, Sunfur, I’m expecting kits. I need a place to stay until they are born. May I talk to Honeystar and ask for permission to stay and rejoin the clan?” Sunfur thought for a moment. “Of course you can talk to Honeystar. I’m sure she will let you stay. She remembers you well.” Chamomilefur let out a relieved sigh, while Seedpelt stared at her, and Shineripple pressed against her side. When the patrol got back to camp, Sunfur and her patrol brought Chamomilefur to Honeystar's den. “Honeystar!” Sunfur called out. Almost immediately Honeystar came bounding out of her den. “What is it?” asked Honeystar, then when she looked around, she spotted Chamomilefur. “Chamomilefur! What are you doing here? What happened to your shoulder?” Chamomilefur took a deep breath. “Hello Honeystar. I’m here because I need a place to stay, and I’m expecting kits. I’d like to rejoin the clan and become a full warrior of GravityClan once again. I’m sorry for leaving. I was young and foolish, and thought I could survive on my own. For a while I did, until I met a group of rogues. I joined them, but they soon turned vicious. I barely escaped.” Honeystar stared at her wide eyed. “Of course you can rejoin the clan! We missed you. I’m sorry you went through that.” The honey colored leader said. “Acornleaf! Come here please. Shineripple, please make Chamomilefur a nest in the nursery, she must be exhausted.” Acornleaf came hurrying over, while Shineripple gave Honeystar a respectful nod, and walked over to the nursery, hidden behind a honeysuckle and bramble bush. “What is it Honeystar?” asked Acornleaf. “Chamomilefur has an injured shoulder and is expecting kits. I want you to give her the care she needs and deserves.” Acornleaf gasped. “Chamomilefur, is it really you? I’ve missed you. Come to my den and I’ll treat you.” Chamomilefur nodded, happiness and guilt shining in her eyes as she stared at her littermate. Acornleaf touched her nose to Chamomilefur’s cheek, and guided her to the medicine den. Inside Acornleaf’s den, the medicine cat addressed Chamomilefur’s shoulder. “It looks like you dislocated it. I don’t know how you managed to do it, but I’ll have to set it. It’s going to hurt though.” Chamomilefur nodded and clenched her teeth, as her sister moved her shoulder back into place with a loud pop. “Thanks Acornleaf. You’re a great medicine cat. Oaksteam would be proud.” Acornleaf looked down at her paws, and then licked her sister's cheek. “No worries, now let’s move you to your new den.” End of chapter!
