So I had to do a book project for school and I chose to take a portion of this book and write it in a different character's point of view. This will take multiple projects so I will link them here. Fitz told me I should come find you.” He heard someone curse then in his head he heard Sophie’s voice. “Run, Dex!” He whipped around confused only to be grabbed by strong hands and gagged. “Be silent” He heard someone hiss in his ear “Be silent or she gets hurt.” The figure motioned to Sophie. Then he heard a yelp and scurrying. Iggy must be here, of course! He thought. He took his chance and tried to escape but someone came and grabbed him harder than the first time, but this time was different. Whoever was holding him was burning him! Dex heard Sophie’s weak voice rasp “Let go.” He struggled to turn around and lock eyes with Sophie’s panicked stare. He watched as the man dragged her off the floor and cover her mouth with his hand. “Drug them now!” The person holding Sophie shouted. “Both of them?” The person holding Dex questioned. “I thought we only wanted the girl? “We can't leave evidence” The man holding Sophie shouted, “You said she only comes here alone!” “She does!” Dex’s captor shouted. Dex locked eyes with Sophie’s panicked gaze once more as someone held a cloth to his mouth. He struggled against the drug but failed and everything went black. Part 2 Dex woke up in a cell somewhere. He opened his eyes and saw a man standing outside his cell. “Who are you, and where is Sophie?” “The girl” the man said, “is somewhere and I cannot tell you who I am.” Dex slowly stood up. “What are you doing with her?” The man looked at him. “It does not matter.” He pulled out a Medler and started stroking it. “You know that one shot of this temporally paralyzes you, but I wonder...” He opened the cell and walked in. “Do you know anything about the Black-Swan?” “Black-Swan.... What is that....” “Quiet” “The man yelled. “Sophie was made by the Black-Swan. What is her purpose, and why is her telepathy so strong.” “I have no idea” Dex said. “I didn’t even know she was a Telepath......” Dex looked away feeling betrayed, she was his best friend, how could she hide something that was important from him. But his anger immediately was replaced with guilt. He was also hiding a secret ability.... A burning sensation knocked him out of his trance. “I don't believe that you know nothing and until you confess.” His captor's hand lit on fire. Dex gasped... “You're a Pyrokinetic... but there are none left.” His captor let out a hollow laugh “They may have banned this ability, but they cannot stop people from manifesting it. I have been betrayed for the last time.” He walked closer and put his hand on his shirt, lighting it on fire. Dex screamed in pain. The man laughed again “This is for lying and this...” He put his hand on Dex’s stomach burning it with a wild look in his eyes. “...is for revenge!” Dex cried with pain as it started to get too much and once again passed out.
