The Stratos Mk2, upon release, was soon found to be a capable vehicle all-around. Vortex had, in previous years, used the Mk1 Stratos for rally, a worthy opponent to even its Lancia counterpart. So, it was only natural that the Mk2 do the same. Unfortunately, days before the car's first race, the program was terminated for unclear reasons.
