Documentation for my City Builder! Main project here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1178754401/ --- General Mechanics --- Every tile does something slightly different. Roads: Increase happiness, increase pollution Houses (house, mansion, town hall): Increase happiness, increase population, increase pollution, decrease energy, increase money Bank: Increase happiness, increase pollution, decrease energy, increase money Clean energy sources (Solar, wind, Geo): Increase energy Unclean energy (coal): Increase energy, increase pollution Hydro energy (hydro): Increase energy (must be next to water) Bush: Decrease pollution (water and trees also decrease pollution, but are not replaceable) Money is increased from houses. Happiness is increased through a variety of tiles, but decreased if there is too much pollution. Pollution is BAD, and can be increased by infrastructure but also reduced from plants and water. Energy is increased from all sorts of energy sources. Population is not shown, and is increased from houses. Success is a combination of all of these factors. Each of these factors contribute to 1/5 of the success. To achieve the maximum of 100 success, you need to have 100 or more Money, Happiness, Energy, and Population, and have 0 Pollution. The starting amounts of each of these vary depending on the difficulty. The default difficulty is 3. --- Credits --- All art and code is by me! --- Changelog --- 3/31/2026 - added population and clarified per second 3/17/2026 - shared (updated to City Builder v1.1.8)
