First: ur here, silly! Previous: none! Next: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1179778794 Frisky woke up to a chilly autumn morning. She yawned, stood up to stretch, and gave herself a good shake. She looked around at her family in their nest. Her parents, Leaf and Acorn, were curled up next to her sister and brother. Leaf shifted in his sleep and his golden-brown pelt shimmered in the early morning sunlight, which was pouring through a crack in the rocky den. Acorn sighed deeply without waking up, resulting in Nip rolling over on top of Wag’s tail. Wag exhaled through her nose before kicking Nip with her foot. Frisky quietly padded over to her littermates and nudged them one by one. Wag woke up immediately and started to mutter with anger. Frisky put a paw over her snout and shot a pointed look at their parents. Wag followed Frisky’s gaze and turned back to her sister, to whom she nodded her head. Then she turned to Nip. “Put your paws on his muzzle while I nip his tail.” Wag said quietly to Frisky, looking at Nip. She complied, and Nip let out a muffled squeal. Nip was awake. Frisky and Wag sat down and gave a long sigh of satisfaction simultaneously. Wag gave Nip the sign to be quiet, for fear of their parents finding out. He nodded too, and slowly stood up, so as not to step on their parent’s long tails. When he was clear of the danger, he trotted sleepily to his siblings. “What was so important that you had to wake me up by nipping my tail?” He grunted. “Sorry, Nip, but we needed to get you awake somehow.” Wag said, starting to groom herself. Frisky started licking her long, graceful legs until all the leaves and dirt were gone. She started on her belly next. Wag had gotten to her face by then. Nip had grudgingly started cleaning his fur, too. “Let’s go outside and explore!” Wag said when her fur was silky and smooth. Frisky had finished herself, and Nip continued bathing his tail, then stood up. “We can’t! Mom and Dad would be so angry!” “But it’s fun, Nip,” Frisky argued. “We’re going now, so come with us or not!” Nip looked mutinous and snapped, “Fine, but when Mom and Dad find out, I won’t defend you.” “We don’t care.” Wag sniffed. Then she promptly turned and slid out of the den, followed by Frisky, and then, after a second of hesitation, Nip. They started a game of tag, and ran around the clearing in front of their den. Even Nip had a smile on his face. Frisky kicked up a pile of leaves and watched in awe as the fire-colored leaves blew around her in the wind. Nip and Wag stopped playing, watching the autumnal scene before them. Nip wagged his tail, and Wag oohed about how pretty they were. By then, all the leaves had fallen to the ground. Suddenly, Wag and Nip screamed, causing Frisky to whirl around. That’s when her blood ran cold. Two humans were standing right behind them!
This is a book that I finished oh, about a month ago. My wonderful editor is the one, the only, @Feathered_Sky_Toast! I know for a fact that this book would be so much worse without Feather :’) (but it is still so-so) (Also warning, the chapters are kinda long, lol so imma do it in parts)
